Flagship planning engagement

Know what to do, in what order, who owns it, and what it will take.

A four-week planning engagement for leadership teams that need to align technology investment with business priorities. We convert competing requests, dependencies, risks, and supplier proposals into a sequenced 12-month roadmap.

Who it’s for
Leadership teams that need a defensible plan before committing technology budget.
Investment
Starting at US$9,500; final quote confirmed after the fit call.
Timeline
Four weeks from kickoff to leadership handover.

A project list is not a roadmap.

When every initiative appears urgent, teams compete for budget, dependencies stay hidden, and leaders approve work without seeing the full cost or implementation burden. A useful roadmap makes choices visible and connects each investment to a business outcome, owner, dependency, and review point.

Is this for you?

This is for you if

  • You have several technology initiatives but no agreed sequence.
  • Leadership needs a defensible plan before committing budget.
  • Projects depend on multiple teams or suppliers and repeatedly stall at handoffs.
  • Growth, compliance, resilience, or customer experience requires coordinated change.

This is not the right fit if

  • You only need a single, already-defined implementation task.
  • No leadership sponsor can approve priorities, trade-offs, or ownership.
  • The immediate requirement is emergency response rather than planning.

What is included

  • Leadership and stakeholder interviews. Clarify outcomes, constraints, unresolved decisions, and commitments already underway.
  • Current-state review. Build on available assessments, system information, supplier arrangements, budgets, and risks.
  • Option and dependency analysis. Compare paths, make assumptions visible, and identify decisions that unlock or block later work.
  • Roadmap design. Sequence initiatives across 12 months with owners, investment ranges, decision gates, and review points.

What you receive

  • A board-ready 12-month technology roadmap.
  • Initiative briefs with intended outcomes, scope boundaries, owners, dependencies, and measures.
  • Investment ranges and decision gates for planning purposes.
  • A risk, assumption, and decision register.
  • A leadership presentation and handover session.

Four weeks to an agreed plan

  1. Align

Confirm business priorities, decision rights, stakeholders, and planning horizon.

  2. Assess

Review the current state, active commitments, risks, and available evidence.

  3. Prioritize

Compare options and agree what comes first, what waits, and why.

  4. Publish and mobilize

Finalize the roadmap, owners, measures, and the next 90 days of action.

Timing and investment

Typical timeline: four weeks from kickoff to leadership handover.

Investment: starting at US$9,500. The final quote is confirmed after a 20-minute fit call, once the number of stakeholders, business units, initiatives, and evidence sources is understood.

Keep the roadmap alive after approval

A roadmap creates value when decisions are made, owners stay accountable, and adoption is reviewed. The Fractional CTO Advisory tier supports recurring leadership decisions; the Embedded tier adds weekly coordination and closer delivery oversight. Supplier decisions along the way can be run through Vendor Selection & Oversight.

Common questions

Do we need a Technology Health Check first?

Not always. If a recent and credible current-state baseline exists, the sprint can start from it. If the evidence is incomplete, a focused assessment may be recommended first.

Are the investment figures supplier quotes?

No. Roadmap estimates are planning ranges unless a supplier quotation is explicitly included and identified. Formal procurement can follow under Vendor Selection & Oversight.

Does the sprint include implementation?

The sprint produces the agreed plan and mobilization priorities. Implementation or ongoing oversight is scoped separately.

Why is the price shown as starting at?

Roadmap effort changes with organizational complexity, stakeholder count, evidence quality, and the number of decisions in scope. The final quote is agreed after the fit call.
